Alexander Scott: Extraordinary Home Interiors in Charlotte

I'm so excited to be part of a new store in Charlotte! Kristen Cone Interiors is now selling antiques from France and Belgium at the fabulous new home marketplace Alexander Scott- Twistfully Traditional. The store is located on East Blvd. in the former McColl Center for Fine Arts. Alexander Scott was the lifelong dream of David Newcombe and Rusty Griffith, who are experienced design professionals and native Charlotteans.

You can find a collection of European antiques, funky furniture, paintings by Charlotte artists, custom upholstered headboards, vintage pieces, gifts, great home accessories, and more. With selections from over 70 vendors, I could furnish an entire home with unique finds from Alexander Scott!

Here is a look at my space at Alexander Scott!

I love the zinc daybed I found in Paris! I wish I had room for it in my home. The white painted armoire with cane doors is 19th C from France.

Another view of daybed and my space

I found this old door at an antique market on the side of the road in the south of France! It was already made into a tall mirror. Love the reclaimed wood and iron coffee table and accessories.

19th C Slipper Chairs and Lee Jofa pillows

Painted armoire, Swedish Chairs and architectural prints from Belgium

The armoire is filled with Belgian amber pharmacy bottles, blue parchment books, and spear objects.

I used this Swedish chair today for a photo shoot for my website. I'm in love.

Close up of the coffee table with design books, large Alsace jugs, Louis XVI picture frames, milk jugs and parchment books

Louis XVI bergere, recovered in a gray linen, with Schumacher pillow. I found this fabulous piece in the south of France.

If my black 19th C Louis XVI marble top commode doesn't sell soon I am going to make it fit in my home!

I've bought many of these zinc tables on my buying trips.

My friend Donna Norton (Granville Interiors) has a space at Alexander Scott. I LOVE her style! I've purchased a lot from her in the past.

 Beautiful vignette

I love Donna's use of symmetry in her space. How great are those paintings?

Love this mirror! It's a little more fun than a traditional starburst.

Tracy Collins sells at Alexander Scott too. She's one of my favorites! I actually bought the pillow in the bistro armchair today.

Tracy always has the best pillows.

There are other great vendors too. I love this space! It looks just like what I see in antique markets in France. I love the old shutters, reclaimed wood table and vintage trunk!

 Hide rugs are my fave.

Can't get enough of this space! I want everything.

I'm purchasing this vintage wood planter for a garden engagement party I'm throwing!

Plush Interiors has a cozy space.

You can purchase custom upholstered headboards from Plush. They made one for my bedroom that's similar to the bottom headboard.

Love this vellum trunk and collection of pillows.

This is a fun chair! I have an entire Pinterest board for black and white. Love it!

Laura Park is another one of my favorites!

This birdcage would be fun for a garden inspired photo shoot!

There are other fun finds like jewelry.

I love this European landscape by Charlotte artist Libby Smart. I have one of her paintings in my dining room and she's definitely one of my faves!

This vendor has a great looking vignette. How fun are antlers in mountain homes? Those chests and mirrors are fabulous too!

I think this collection of antique keys is fab! Definitely one of my favorite things in the store.

These keys are everywhere in France. I am going to buy a lot next time, after seeing this fun way to display them!

This is only a little preview of the amazing finds at Alexander Scott!

The store is open Tuesday- Saturday, 10am -6pm.
